First to the Fastest
“When everything seems to be going against you, remember the airplane takes off against the wind and not with it”
We worked together with this exciting museum to create some robust and dynamic interpretation to tell two historic aviation stories.
We developed and manufactured a set of mobile, steel-framed, tubular intepretation units that are displayed around the two aeroplanes. This encourages the visitor to read the story in its chronological order and to learn about these amazing pilots and their stories.
All this was supported by a children’s activity book and some low-level interactives for the younger visitors.

“I have worked with Danny and the team on a number of exhibitions before. I knew that this particular conundrum would be perfect for them and they did not disappoint. We had to create a permanent gallery display to interpret the two stories but with the added complication of the gallery being open to the elements. In addition the interpretation needs to be moved easily on occasion to allow us to get the planes out! Their simple concept of engineered frames worked really well for us and gave us the flexibility we need in this challenging space.”
